Yesterday I took Colby into the doctor for his yearly checkup. He is really healthy, he is in the 98 percentile for his height, no surprise there. But Taylor is still really little. She is almost three months old and she weights 7lbs 12oz. She is lighter now then when both of my boys were born. I am not that concerned yet because I have skinny babies. I keep all my weight (probably to keep warm for the winter), and my babies are skinny. So when I told my doctor he sent for their records from Dr. Bauer whom I used to really like. I liked her until they told me that I would be charged 60 dollars for my children's own medical records to be put in an envelope and sent out here. WHAT I already payed for all the visits so that they could be seen now I have to pay to hear what she said. Lame!! So I pay. Meanwhile I am pumping every feeding, that I am home, so that we know how much milk she is getting. Maybe that is TMI but this is my blog so who cares. Now cut to today, Spencer and Colby went with their friend John and my sisters to the pool while I was nursing. When I got there I was talking to Stephanie for a min while I watch Spencer's hands slipping from the top of the slide. I watch as my little guy falls probably 9 feet to the concrete and land on his head. He immediately starts screaming (I didn't think this then but I probably looked really funny running over there to help him in my swimsuit with all my giggly parts). Anyway I was trying to stay calm and ask him where he hurt the most. He wasn't bleeding so I thought that was a really good sign. After he calmed down a little bit I walked him over to a chair to let him rest for a min. He looked at me weird and asked me how he got over to the chair and out of the pool.
He lost his short term memory.
He had no idea who brought him to the pool, who he was playing with, that he fell off the slide, he didn't remember Sean coming to the pool, anyway he didn't hardly remember anything. I was scared but strangely calm. We walked to my Mom's, the whole time he was complaining of a terrible head ache. So we went back to the doctors, he checked him out and told me that Spencer suffered from his first known concussion. It took about three hours for his memory to come back. He is fine now, although he did have to miss his coach pitch game tonight which was really disappointing to him.

LISA! Oh my, I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers!
Crazy! I am glad he is ok. you guys have had more than your share of adventure lately!
Keoni
How scary! I am glad he is okay.
That is scary. I'm glad he's ok, and hope he's back to his normal awesome self quick. Funny about Dr. Bauer. Becca Castleton just got her records too and they made her pay cash. She was so frusterated, I can't remember if she said $25 each or $50 each. I thought it was funny that they wanted cash, guess they don't want to have to account for it. Sheesh.
Wow Lisa...You have all the adventure. Maybe we shouldn't get our boys together! Zac gets into his share and together with your boys he might just get us to our first emergency room visit.
OK. Scary! I'm so glad Spencer is OK. (Funny mental image of you running to save him though.) I love the pics of you and your baby in the sling--you look great! And nice backgroud for your blog. It makes a statement.
